     Después de doce (12) años de pastorear en Interlachen, Dios los llama a ejercer trabajó en las Misiones con la Iglesia Bautista Pentecostal en la función de Coordinador de Ministerios Hispanos en Estados Unidos y como Enlace de las Misiones Hispanas en los campos misioneros de Centro y Sur América, función que realizara para la Gloria de Dios, por casi 9 años.  Desde el 1 de enero de 1996 hasta diciembre de 2004, estuvo el Pastor Juan Velázquez ejerciendo en dicha capacidad, habiendo contribuido en la formación y establecimiento de nuevas misiones hispanas para la Organización Ministerial que representa y con quien mantiene credenciales como ministro ordenado, ya por más de 40 años.  Todo el trabajo realizado, aunque no a grandes escalas, ha sido realizado para la gloria y honra de Dios.

     After twelve (12) years of pastoring in Interlachen, God calls them to exercise in Missions with the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, in the role of Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries in the United States and as Liaison of Hispanic Missions in the mission fields of Central and South America, a role that he performed for the Glory of God, for almost 9 years.  From 1 January 1996 to December 2004, Pastor Juan Velázquez was in this capacity, having contributed to the formation and establishment of new Hispanic missions for the Ministerial Organization that he represents and with whom he maintains credentials as an ordained minister, for more than 40 years.  All the work done, though not on a large scale, has been done for the glory and honor of God.

      Es en el día 5 de noviembre del 1996, y en obediencia a Dios y al llamado que le correspondía, el Pastor Juan decide trasladarse junto a su familia a ciudad de Brandon, en el área de Tampa, para desde allí ejercer sus funciones de Coordinador de Ministerios Hispanos en Estados Unidos y con el propósito de establecer obra hispana en dicha área.  Ya se habían comenzado los esfuerzos de levantar dicha obra, pues el 7 de Julio de 1996, un grupo de hermanos decidieron respaldar al Pastor Juan Velázquez con la nueva iglesia.  Y aunque la nueva obra comenzó a crecer, hubo un punto de retraso, donde el Pastor Velázquez y su esposa entendieron que por eventos fuera de su control (como traslado de familias a otras ciudades, fallecimiento, etc.) no era el momento de Dios para que continuara aquella obra.

     It is on November 5, 1996, and in obedience to God and to his call, that Pastor Juan decides to move with his family to the City of Brandon, in the Tampa area, to act as Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries in the United States for the purpose of establishing a Hispanic work in that area.  Efforts had already begun to start this work, since on July 7, 1996, a group of brothers decided to support Pastor Juan Velázquez with the new church.  Although the new work began to grow, there was a point of set back, where Pastor Velázquez and his wife understood, that because of events beyond their control (such as families moving to other cities, passing, etc.) it was not God's time for that work to continue.

     Sigue el Pastor Velázquez ejerciendo su ministerio de Coordinador, pero por una temporada deciden él y su familia participar en un ministerio local independiente, con la clara intención de que su participación en dicho ministerio sería temporero, y desde allí continuar su trabajo en las misiones.

     Pastor Velázquez continues in his ministry as Coordinator, but for a season he and his family decided to participate with an independent local ministry, with the clear intention that his participation in that ministry would be temporary, and from there to continue their work with missions.
 

     Es estando en aquel lugar, que Dios comienza a tratar íntimamente con el Pastor Velázquez y con su esposa Sary, acerca de comenzar nuevamente el proceso de plantar la  iglesia en el área de Brandon.  Luego de más o menos un año de oración, finalmente deciden aceptar el llamado a plantar y establecer la nueva iglesia, junto a varios hermanos que sintieron la necesidad de congregarse bajo el cuidado de los Pastores Juan y Sary. Fue así que Dios comienza la nueva obra con los Pastores Velázquez.

     It is when being in that place, that God began to deal intimately with Pastor Velázquez and his wife Sary, about starting the process of planting the church in the Brandon area again.  After about a year of prayer, they finally decidef to accept the call to plant and establish the new church, along with several brethren who felt the need to gather under the care of Pastors Juan and Sary. It was that way, when God started the new work with the Velázquez.

     Es el día 18 de abril del 2002, cuando se establece por gracia de Dios el ministerio que se conoce como: IGLESIA ROCA ETERNA, Inc.  El título cede del ministerio y como se registra con el gobierno estatal de la Florida es: Iglesia Roca Eterna Internacional, Inc., un ministerio sin fines de lucro.  En el corazón de ellos está la tarea de seguir la Visión de Cristo, cumplir con la Misión de Cristo y de obedecer la Comisión o mandato de Cristo como se establese en Mateo 28:18-20:

     It is April 18, 2002, when the ministry known as: ETERNAL ROCK CHURCH, Inc. was established by God's grace.  The official title of the ministry and as it is recorded with the State of Florida is: Eternal Rock Church International, Inc., a non-profit ministry.  In their hearts, is the task of following the Vision of Christ, fulfilling the Mission of Christ, and obeying Christ's Commission or command as established in Matthew 28:18-20:

18 Entonces Jesús vino a ellos y les dijo: "Toda autoridad me es dada en el cielo y en la tierra.  19Por lo tanto id y haced discípulos a todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el Nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo,  20 y enseñándoles que guarden todas las cosas que les he mandado.  Y ciertamente yo estoy con ustedes todos los días hasta el fin del mundo. Amen"
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."
